If you are a dog owner you understand how important it is to take your dog outside for exercise on a regular basis. One of the best ways to exercise your dog is to take them to a local dog park. These parks are great because they can run around without a leash, interact with other dogs and enjoy the fresh air.  We actually have quite a few dog parks around the Columbus area to choose from. Therefore, we have decided to dedicate this article to discussing some of the best dog parks near Columbus for 2016.

This off-leash dog park is located right here in Columbus by Fort Benning on Lumpkin Road. This park has two fenced in areas that are separated by weight class.

Muscogee County Flat Rock Park

Muscogee County Flat Rock Park is a great place to take your dog. It has a main trail that is 2.3 miles long that is perfect for walks. However, you are not limited to just that one trail. There are also a lot of smaller trails as well that break off from the main one. Muscogee County Flat Rock Park is located on Warm Springs Road right here in Columbus.

Kiesel Park

This great off-leash dog park is located less than 30 miles from Columbus in Auburn. The dog park includes a small dog area, agility equipment, a great stream and two different ponds for the dogs to swim and play in.
