Tips for Cleaning Your car Radio
When cleaning a car, most people only think of vacuuming out the interior and washing the exterior. These areas are often times overlooked or passed over because people don’t know how to clean them properly. An example of one of these areas is your car radio, this is one area that is typically overlooked when cleaning a car. Modern car radio systems are a lot different from the radios that we all grew up with. Now most vehicles have large touch screens in them that allow drivers to control their entire entertainment experience from behind the wheel. However, these electrical components can be extra sensitive to aggressive cleaning, so you’ve got to know what you are doing.
Items Needed to Clean a car Radio
- Compressed air can
- Plastic cleaner
- Microfiber towel
- And interior brush

The first thing that you’ll need to do when cleaning your car radio is use your  soft-bristle interior brush to remove any dust or dirt from in between the movable plastic pieces. You should also use your can of compressed air to help remove some of the dirt and dust that may have been missed by the brush. Now that all of the dirt and dust have been removed, spray some of your plastic cleaner on the microfiber towel and gently wipe down the top of the buttons. Finally, for your touch screen, just lightly wipe it down with your microfiber towel to remove fingerprints.
