Youth Sports Complex

If you’re simply looking for a pool to cool off in, then the Youth Sports Complex at 1505 5th St. S is the place to do it. For just $3 per person, you can swim from noon to six at night, having fun with all of the slides, waterfalls and other fun amenities. There are even some fun sports courts nearby where you can play basketball or tennis and other fun activities. So be sure to check it out!

Southside Park

You can find a similar park with less pool but more fun-filled activities at 2625 Sandfort Road, and that’s Southside Park. With different kinds of ball fields, a basketball court, tennis courts, several grills, two big pavilions, different picnic areas, a playground, a nature trail, a splash pad and even a small swimming pool, this park makes an excellent free park to have some fun at from dawn to dusk every day.

Phenix City Summer Camp

Finally, if you’re willing to spend a bit of money for your kids to have an incredibly fun-filled day, consider registering for the Phenix City Summer Camp. Full-day camps are $300 for the summer, lasting from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Half-day camps will be a bit cheaper, but end at 1 p.m. instead. Full-day camps include the Roy Martin Center and Phenix City Youth Center, while half-day camps include C-Club Recreation Center and the Spencer Recreation Center. The cost of camp includes field trips, games, sports, breakfast and lunch and, of course, an awesome t-shirt.

Whatever you and your children decide to do with your summer, we simply hope you all have a blast!
